Project Description: Reimagining the Village is a site-specific playwriting course to create a walking theatre tour and activate public space in the Cascade Village neighborhood. The paid course will teach writers from the neighborhood to create plays for public areas and will end with those plays being produced as a mobile, site-specific theatre show. All writers will be rewarded a $400 stipend for commission.*

Who Should Apply? Writers who live in Cascade Valley and are interested in new, innovative ways to active public space and shape the narrative of their neighborhood.

Requirements:

  • Must be a resident of Cascade Valley
  • Must be available for course gatherings once a week from October 2018-February 2019 (NOTE: Classes will last up to 3 hours)
  • Participants do not need prior playwriting experience
